I saw this recipe on canal cocina in the show “La cocina natural de Annabel”. Immediately, I thought that this one would be a success.
It’s a perfect recipe to start baking bread. It doesn´t need leavening time or difficult mixing operations.
It 's leavens in the oven and simply it’s mixed with a large spoon.
Usually in Britain and the USA measures are made with cups, teaspoons and tablespoons. However, I weigh and measure all ingredients and I have adapted it to a rectangular mould.

Usually in Britain and the USA measures are made with cups, teaspoons and tablespoons. However, I weigh and measure all ingredients and I have adapted it to a rectangular mould.
To make a loaf:
- 200 ml boiling water
- 200 ml cold water
- 210 gr strong white flour
- 210 gr wholemeal flour
- 25 gr honey
- 5.5 gr dry yeast. I show you a picture so that you know which one it is.
- 7 gr salt
- 150 gr sunflower, pumpkin, or sesame saltless seeds and not fried.
- Spray Butter or a little butter and flour to grease the mould.
- Preheat oven to just 80º C (175 degrees Fahrenheit), bottom and top
- In a large bowl, put the boiling water and the honey and dissolve.
- Add the cold water and yeast
- Let stand for 10 minutes. The yeast is ready when it has a bubbles on the surface
- Add the white and wholemeal flour, the salt and the seeds. Mix all with a large spoon or silicone spatula
- Grease a mould . Put the mixture into the mould and then put the seeds onto the mix and make small, evenly spaced cuts on the top.
- Put the mould into the oven
- Bake for 20 minutes
- After that, switch off the oven top and turn up the oven to 210º C (410 degrees Fahrenheit )and bake for a 35-40 m.
- When you see that it’s cooked, remove the mould from the oven.

Cool for a 5 minutes and remove the loaf from the mould and put onto a grid
It’s easy, isn’t it ?Here you can see the original recipe but to make two loaves
Note than you can use sunflower seeds but also sesame, differents nuts such as hazelnuts or almonds or muesli.
